One significant benefit I've observed from adopting a morning routine is its role in establishing a solid foundation for my day. Amidst our hectic and fast-paced lives, dedicating this time in the morning to invest in myself has proven invaluable. These moments of peace and quiet set a positive tone, leading to a dramatic improvement in my overall mood and outlook for the day ahead
Benefit 2
The second benefit I've experienced is an enhanced ability to handle stress. Since adopting a morning routine, I've noticed a substantial increase in my stress tolerance throughout the day. Allocating this time in the morning allows my mind to relax and ease into the day's challenges. In our fast-paced and demanding lives, dedicating this early morning time proves to be a valuable investment in managing stress effectively.

The third benefit I've observed is a notable increase in energy and focus. Initially, it may seem counterintuitive that adding extra tasks to my morning routine would enhance my energy levels. The most significant benefit I've derived from my morning routine is the cultivation of self-discipline. Self-discipline serves as a cornerstone for success in every aspect of life. By faithfully adhering to my morning routine, I've developed the discipline necessary to tackle important tasks and challenges first thing in the morning, such as working out. A morning routine offers a straightforward yet incredibly potent method to nurture self-discipline, its rewards are invaluable.
Here is how I structure my morning routine
Wake up 4 am everyday
I feel waking up at the same time everyday is a great way to build self-discipline. No you do not have to wake up as early as I do, however, I think there is great value in having a time you wake up everyday. It not only builds your discipline, it also helps align your circadian rhythm.
Cold shower
I warm up with a 1-2 minute warm shower and then I do a 5 minute Cold shower. This is another tool to build my self-discipline and it gives me a solid adrenaline boost. This helps me feel more awake and removes the groggy feeling from waking up.
3. 45 minutes of a recovery workout. Light cardio / yoga
I then go into my first workout of the day. I do some light cardio and yoga. This is a great recovery tool and it helps me work on my breathing.
5 minutes of sunlight exposure
I will then go outside and get some sunlight in my eyes. This is a nice ritual that helps me have some peace and quiet before starting my day. Getting natural sunlight in your eyes is also another great way to help your circadian rhythm function more optimally.
Bible reading / prayer while I drink a glass of water with greens and a electrolyte packet
This helps me focus on the important things in life. Hydrating first thing in the morning is also extremely important.
First meal oatmeal with fruit and a protein shake while I plan my day
Planning my day is extremely important for me. It helps me focus and prioritize the important things.
90-120 minutes focused work
I will then begin working on my most important tasks for the day
Many people think that a morning routine is unnecessary or takes too much time. In my opinion this is far from true. From waking up, to my first meal, my routine takes about one hour. For me this is a worthwhile investment. I have been doing this morning routine for a little over a year now and it has been extremely valuable.
